Recognising and celebrating the rich cultural diversity at Warriapendi Primary School is important when building cultural awareness to foster unity and growth. At Warriapendi Primary School, we celebrate an education that is inclusive of individual students’ strengths and needs and that celebrates the many cultures that make up our school community.
We acknowledge parents, families and communities as the first educators of their children and we recognise and value the learning that children bring with them from their homes and communities into the classroom. Our programs make connections between each student’s home and school experience to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment that respects the culture, language and experiences of every child. We embed and regularly celebrate the cultures and languages that make up Warriapendi Primary School through school and community events, such as Harmony Day and by ensuring parents are partners in their child’s learning journey.
We are committed to building a culturally responsive organisation and creating a strong school ethos based on respecting and valuing diversity.
